How to install windows 8 or 8.1 on virtual machine

Welcome to techbyte.
NOTE
This installation is on intel i5 processor but this will work on any of intel or AMD processors.
For the install you only going to need two things -
1st - is the vmware workstation player
2nd - A iso image of windows 8 or 8.1

For the demonstration I’m doing this installation windows 8.1 on vmware player
1 - click on Create a new virtual machine.
2 - Click on browse and attach the iso file. My iso file is at the desktop so from there i will attach it.
3 - In the easy install panel the first option we get is for the windows product key. Second option is for the version of windows to be install. The Third option is for the machine name. The fourth option is for the password which i m not going to set it right now.
4 - Next it is again asking for the machine name and then it is asking for the location where i have to save the vm related files. So for that i m going to make a new folder. Browse to that folder that i have made it just now and click next.
5 - Next we have the disk size option so at least we have to give this vm a 60GB partition but Im going to increase it to 100 GB though that would be sufficient to install all the required softwares.
6 - Next we have customize hardware option. Here i'm going to increase ram capacity to 4GB also going to increase the cores from one to two. (You can set RAM and Core according to your needs)
7 - VM installation process will started then and that can take around 10 to 20 mins depending on your machine performance
8 - So now you have successfully install the windows 8.1 virtual machine. VM tool installation process will also start automatically.
9 - Then I'm going to create desktop icons.
10 - Lastly I'm going to change the hostname of the machine
11 - Restart Machine
The total space this VM is taken is 12.7GB.
