「 GMV 」 Somnus - Clair Obscur: Expedition 33

MAJOR SPOILERS FOR ENTIRE GAME!!

A tribute to one of the best (if not the best?) games I've ever played. I loved playing and experiencing Expedition 33 so much, and I love how complex all the characters, themes and endings are. The endings have been in my brain ever since I finished two weeks ago, I've come to conclusion that there is no good or bad ending, just a whole lot of angst and grief. :')

I connected this Final Fantasy XV OST song to Expedition 33 when I'd just started playing. I had no idea how MUCH of a perfect fit it was back then. Editing this GMV was my therapy (over the events of the game) while playing. As one can imagine, I changed my clips and direction so many times as I completed the Acts, but I'm happy with how it ended up direction-wise. It's logical to have a full circle story-telling GMV with Maelle, and I don't think there are many out there anyway?

I loved the entire cast, my favourite was Maelle at first but honestly now I can't pick a fave. So even though this video is skewed towards Maelle's story, it's for all of them.

Special thanks to Amy for helping me get the footage early on without spoiling me, so I could use this edit as therapy from early on~

Now, I'm going to continue listening to Une vie à t'aimer on repeat.
