Rising Unemployment, Drug Menace in Kashmir; Sandeep Mawa Extends Support to Bihar Doctor

PDP chief and former Chief Minister Mehbooba Mufti on Sunday voiced serious concern over the worsening situation of unemployment and the growing drug menace in Kashmir, stating that both problems have deepened in the post-2019 period. She warned that lack of job opportunities is pushing the youth towards frustration, while drug abuse has emerged as a grave social challenge threatening the future of an entire generation. Meanwhile, in a separate but significant development, Sandeep Mawa issued a strong statement in support of a Bihar doctor, highlighting the issues of safety, dignity, and respect for medical professionals. He announced that if the doctor chooses not to join duty in Bihar due to prevailing circumstances, he is ready to offer her a job with a salary of ₹2 lakh per month. Mawa stressed that doctors are the backbone of society and must be provided a secure and respectful working environment. He also urged authorities to take immediate steps to ensure doctors’ safety across the country.
