We've all seen and heard the typical surface-level MLK quotes, but his message was way deeper than those. The younger, more radical Afro Angie often questioned MLK around 2015 because upon learning more about Malcolm X, I didn't understand how MLK couldn't speak as honestly as X did. But I was wrong, MLK was just as honest, he just made non-violence the guiding light of his movement.
He wasn't very liked back then, and many people may not like the "real" version of him today. Through reading this book, I grew a newfound sense of respect and admiration for him, and I want people to know his true message.
