It's almost time for the annual Lampang Enduro. My Yamaha WR155 is a very heavy bike, has plenty of power, but when it gets hot outside and I'm drained of energy, it is very difficult for me to lift my bike. I really want to do well in one of these Thailand Enduros, so, what's the next best thing besides going out and buying a brand new Kawasaki 140? How about stripping as much stuff off my Honda CT as I feasibly can to make it lighter and put way better suspension on it and a MANUAL CLUTCH! YEA, I put a manual clutch on it and guess what? It's a beast now, a light beast and I went back to my stock Honda head with my torque camshaft to do it. Of course, I had to ditch the mechanic who kept NOT doing what I wanted done and kept DOING what he wanted to do. Lucky for us, Robert found a really good mechanic close to my house and after having my stock head and torquer cam installed at iTim garage I had them dyne the bike. Wow, over 12 HP and just under 12 Nm. of torque. This video tells a quick story of getting the clutch and the first ride in the Abyss area to see just how well it works... Enjoy!
