The first book in the All & Everything series, Beelzebub's Tales to His Grandson, is the only complete, authoritative, and definitive exposition of the ideas and methods of the Gurdjieff Work. Mr. Gurdjieff expressed the hope that the Work would proceed with regular study of the text, leading to practical group work.
The only reliable source for a clear exposition of Gurdjieff's ideas is the book he wrote for that purpose, but many people are put off by the complexity of the text, and turn to secondary or derivative sources, like PD Ouspensky, JG Bennett, and other 'Fourth Way' sources which, at best, present a fragment of Gurdjieff's ideas.
