Quick video showing how to replace the battery inside the key fob and fit the circuit board into a new case.
Aftermarket cases come apart easily, but genuine original LR cases are glued and very difficult to prise apart.
Replacement battery type is VL2330 rechargeable. Voltage is 3V. Recommended brand is Panasonic.
Check the voltage of your new battery. The first one I bought was weak and only gave 2V. It would unlock the car but not start the engine. It also would not charge up when docked. I bought another new battery and it worked fine.
