Las Vegas Closures, Renovations, and New Attractions

After more than a decade of dominating the Strip’s rooftop party scene, Drai’s Nightclub is preparing to close its rooftop location at The Cromwell. The closure, set for October 31st, will end an era that brought some of the city’s most memorable parties and performances.

However, the brand is not disappearing. Instead, Drai’s will return to its roots by relocating back to The Cromwell’s basement, where it originally started. The redesigned nightclub is scheduled to reopen on November 2nd, offering a more intimate space while the rooftop transforms into a private event pool.

Meanwhile, the long-delayed Dream Las Vegas project has reached the end of the road. Once promoted as a luxury boutique hotel and casino at the south end of the Strip, the project has now been handed over to its construction company due to unpaid bills. The land and unfinished structure have effectively changed ownership, leaving the future of the resort uncertain.

While the original developers have expressed interest in regaining control and completing the property, financing hurdles make that prospect unclear. For now, Dream Las Vegas remains stalled, with its completion date pushed further into doubt.

Additionally, more than 300 pieces of memorabilia and artwork are being sold, including massive bronze mermaids, glass creations by renowned artist Dale Chihuly, and elements from the resort’s famous volcano. The auction offers fans and collectors a rare opportunity to own pieces of one of the Strip’s most recognizable resorts as it transitions into its next chapter.
