Finally, after a few days of the intense July heat in the American West, we headed back to the midwest to home, having learned a bit more about the prairie and pioneers, and also coming to appreciate our little home in a little town.
The way the pioneers lived was like the farm I was raised on, working with animals, being on the land, watching plants grow, and making memories as a family. It was a great piviledge to share that way of life with the next generation. Even if we don't have land in the country or a creek to play in, we do have family and someday maybe our family's dreams and adventures on a prairie land might still have time to come true.
