How do I choose what makes the cut?!

The process is NOT easy. Every book on my channel is selected using very strict standards...

Which are... (in no particular order!)...

💙 B · L · U · E 💙

B - Beautiful or visually appealing. This includes having a story that is supported by the pictures. Your child should be drawn in immediately and cognitively supported through illustrations.

L - Length. Books must be the appropriate length for the given age range. Books must be short enough to hold your child's attention but long enough to present a well-developed story.

U - Underlying Agendas. Absolutely NO controversial topics, images, innuendoes, etc. This rule is the mission of BBB. Innocence, joy, and happiness are fostered through BBB books!

E - Educational. The books must be written in a way that supports reading enjoyment, comprehension, and fluency. Books must be well-written and make your child a better reader.

So that's it! That's the Bluebird Bookshelf Standard! It is surprisingly difficult to find books that meet ALL of these standards, but that's what BBB is here for!
