Adjusting your slam latch every so often is important because it tightens the door and gasket against the faceframe. By doing this it will make the smoker more efficient. Our latches and gasket work together. As the gasket wears or becomes hardened your smoker may start to leak smoke. You can fix this by tightening your latches.
You will need a:
Phillips Screw Driver or an 8mm socket and racket

When should I do this?
After you replace the gasket and as your gasket wears down. You will know if you should adjust the latch because you might see smoke leakage.
