Mid engine V8's have been a huge success in Ferraris sporty models since their introduction in the Ferrari 308 in the 1970's. This V8 tradition has carried on to this day, becoming more powerful with every new model released. The Ferrari 488 Pista produces over 700 horse power and won the international engine of the year award, proving yet again that the V8 engine will remain a staple in Ferraris line up for many years to come. The Ferrari 488 Pista is the last edition in the 488 line up, and is the lightest and fastest edition, coming in at 200 pounds less than the 488 GTB which was made possible by immense amounts of carbon fiber through out the entire car. While the Ferrari 488 Pista was made with speed in mind, taking cues from their track variations, the 488 GTE and Challenge, the Pista also manages to be a very comfortable and luxurious drive with driver comforts such as ice cold AC, blue tooth, a rear view camera, and more.
