Ficus lyrata, commonly known as the fiddle-leaf fig, species of flowering plant in the mulberry and fig family Moraceae. It is native to western Africa, from Cameroon west to Sierra Leone, where it grows in lowland tropical rainforest. It can grow up to 12–15 m tall.
How to Water Propagate your Ficus or Fiddle leaf Fig? Water propagation is the easiest way to propagate your fiddle leaf fig plants. All you need is to sever the stem with a clean cutter, cutting should not be longer than 3inches(the longer the stem the longer the waitings) and place the cutting in a clear glass or plastic container. Fill the glass with rainwater(yes rainwater is better than tap water). Put the glass in a spot where it gets plenty of indirect sunlight – then wait. Change out the water every several days or when the water turns cloudy. Roots will come out in a few days and will grow more in a week or two.
