UN Security Council meets on Syria, members call for end to Israeli bombardment

The United Nations Security Council has held an emergency session to discuss Israel’s ongoing military actions in Syria. Several member states voiced concern, calling repeated Israeli airstrikes a violation of international law and a destabilizing force in the region.
