Steelhead Fishing For Large Rainbow Trout Under the Tippy Dam in Northern Michigan in Early Spring time in the Month of March and there was still some Snow on the Ground the Temperature was around 60 Degrees F outside and there was still ice on the Lake over the Tippy dam they were using Orange and Pink flies and some wiggler Fly Patterns but the Steelhead Bite was very slow only 3 to 4 Steelhead Were caught that day on a couple of nice Rainbow trout but the weather for fish with a nice rod was to nice to give up on fishing for those Chrome Steelhead that you will catch in early Spring just After the Michigan snow Melts Easter Sunday should be nice this Year for some Chrome Colored trout Before they get on the Gravels to bed and lay there eggs they also caught a very nice Hen on an light Green Stone fly hot dam just after a big rain and the sun was out you could still feel the cold on the hook of the Fishing flies that is how you will know that the water has to still warm up to at least 39 degrees so the Steelhead will move up the Manistee River to get on there beds to lay eggs a little early for the large Rainbow Trout fro the Great lakes the Fishing is getting out so get out there for the next Month if you can and have your own Adventure Big Tim
