Two days ago, when we went to eat poha, a poor boy came and politely requested another customer sitting there to buy poha for him. That person kindly agreed and paid for both—his own poha and the boy’s poha. But when the boy requested the poha-seller not to sprinkle salt on his poha, the poha-seller started abusing him, accusing him of showing attitude even after someone else had paid for him. He insulted the boy and drove him away.
I was standing there watching all this, and it felt really painful. I tried to help the boy, but no one listened. In the end, I went to another shop with him and bought him poha without salt.
