Part of my journey as trying to get a Speech to Text(STT) to Large Language Model(LLM) on mobile devices. I was able to compete one major milestone. I was able to get Whisper.cpp which is the STT on both iOS and Android. I have it working and this is video demonstrates it.
As you will notice though the iPhone 12 is much faster than the Samsung Galaxy S10+. Reason for this is that iPhone has a Neural chip in it and I am able to use CoreML for part of the process. The Android is pure CPU.
I am using Whisper.cpp.
