This is part 2 of the two part compound slide rebuild series. I made a new acme thread spindle and accordingly a new leadscrew nut with adjustment feature for minimizing the backlash. Along with some smaller parts I finish the compound slide in this video. From part 1 I didn't expect the project to be so elaborate in the end. But there where some unexpected problems occuring with the bearings. Luckily everything went just fine in the end and the result I got is really satisfying. The compound slide moves so extremely smooth now and the new made adjustable backlash nut works so well that I measured almost zero backlash on the whole assembly.
