This Keeps Rural Pastors From Burnout | A Short Film

I made this short film to help Village Missions show supporters exactly what their gifts do. When Village Missions invited me to make a film of Staff Conference, one guideline stood out: let the week speak for itself: real care, not a getaway.

We shaped the story to show what actually happens when pastors from small towns step back to be rebuilt: worship they don’t have to lead, teaching they don’t have to prepare, peer prayer that lifts the load, and whole-family care so moms and dads can truly rest. From shared meals to the closing communion and the circle singing “Blessed Be the Tie That Binds,” the focus stays on the people and the mission.

This piece is meant to help supporters see where their gifts go: strengthening the pastors who serve communities where a healthy church may be the only gospel witness for miles.
The problem is real: missionaries can burn out. This donor-supported Staff Conference isn’t a vacation; it’s a rebuild. You’ll see worship they don’t have to lead, teaching they don’t have to prepare, peer prayer that lifts the load, and whole-family care so moms and dads can truly rest.
