Red Barn Ramblers - Rockin Pneumonia and the Boogie Woogie Flu

Fayetteville, Arkansas - Red Barn Ramblers http://redbarnramblers.com/home/ rehearsal 2-18-2012 in the music practice room of a big red barn upstairs. 15 to 16 piece band, big smooth blues rockin' group of All-Star musicians with great credits and credentials, from blues, country, rock 'n' roll, and jazz music.

HEADS UP FAYETTEVILLE! Red Barn Ramblers will play this Friday March 2, 2012, at HAPPY HOUR 6PM to 9PM at http://www.georgesmajesticlounge.com/... George's Majestic Lounge, in a benefit for longtime Dickson Street doorman Neill Williamson. Williamson suffers from cerebral palsy and Lou Gehrigs disease. $5 cover charge and donations go to help Williamson with medical and living expenses.

The rehearsal shown in the video was getting ready for the upcoming benefit concert. This band has so many allstar musicians (15+), you can't really pay the the band to play, they will only play for the $5 cover for charity, to help a friend.

Most of the songs were extremely smooth, blues oriented, some familiar covers, classic and early rock'n'roll, jump blues. Horn section was added this time. 2 songs posted are " Rockin' Pneumonia and the Boogie Woogie Flu" (Huey Piano Smith) and "Fever" (Little Willie John)

Rockin' Pneumonia and the Boogie Woogie Flu is a cover of a song originally a hit by Huey "Piano" Smith.

The new horn section includes Charlie Chalmers, famous sax player for studio work with Aretha Franklin ("RESPECT"), Dusty Springfield, many more, and his young early touring with Jerry Lee Lewis. And Gary Gazaway known as "El Buho" who has played with Phish, STS9, Opa, Stevie Ray Vaughn. And Marvin Short (saxophones) of Branson Missouri show bands. Other members of RBR have performed with Levon Helm, The Band, Linda Rondstadt, many more.
