Rolex DJ 36 blue fluted dial

Rolex, Rolex, everybody is talking about Rolex. In order to make own experiences prior to posting a video, I had to get one.
This video describes, what’s it all about having a Rolex, how the Rolex user belongs to that group of Rolex owners, and what are the advantages of a classic Rolex, such as an OP (Oyser Perpetual) or a DJ (Dayjust) over the so much sought-after tool watches (Daytona, GMT Master, Explorer, and all the divers)… .
There are videos on Youtube talking about alternatives to Rolex. The problem is that there are two criteria, that have to be considered: the watch and it’s qualities on one side (sturdy, accurate, water resistance for swimming and snorkelling, non-magnetic hairspring), the brand experience on the other side (who is wearing a Rolex, what is the image of this group, is this a group you fit into / you would want to be a part of?). While there are plenty of good watches that come close to a Rolex or that are even on par with it, the brand criteria is quite unique.
Regarding the classification of e.g. “premium” or “luxury” watches, we refer to the video of Adrian Barker, “What is Luxury?”
In this video, two people are wearing that DJ 36, a female with a wrist circumference of 155 mm and a male with 188 mm (3 links have to be added / removed for the change). It is shown that this watch can be worn by anybody, female, male and everything between or beyond, and all age groups from teenagers to seniors.
