David Patterson, Pardee Professor of Electrical Engineering and Computer Science, gave a View From the Top Lecture titled "My Last Lecture: How to Be a Bad Professor," on May 6, 2016. The lecture was part of a larger celebration of Patterson's retirement and produced in collaboration with the “40 Years of Patterson Symposium,” which was held on Saturday, May 7. In addition to the lecture,
reception, and symposium, an endowed fund has been established - the David A. Patterson Computer Science
Education and Research Fund.
