Running Electrical Wire Without Attic Access
Hey DIYers!
Today, I’m going to show you a super simple trick to run electrical wire between two walls without accessing the attic!
So here's the problem: I tried pushing the wire through one hole, but it got stuck in the insulation—total fail.
Here’s the hack: grab a regular measuring tape—yep, the kind from your toolbox.
Insert it into the first hole and gently push it until it reaches the second hole. Take your time—it’ll wiggle its way through.
Now, at the other end, reach into the second hole and pull the tip of the measuring tape out. Once you’ve got enough length, it’s time for the magic!
Take some adhesive tape, attach your electrical wire securely to the end of the measuring tape—wrap it tight.
Then, go back to the first hole and pull the tape back slowly.
As it comes through, it’ll bring the wire along with it.
And just like that—you’ve routed wire from one end to the other without ever stepping into the attic. Clean. Easy. Effective.
