To replace blank cells in Microsoft Excel with a specific text or value, you can use the Go To Special feature. This is the most efficient method for large datasets where manual entry is impossible.
Step-by-Step Guide
Select the Range: Highlight the area of your spreadsheet that contains the blank cells you want to fill.
Open 'Go To': Press Ctrl + G on your keyboard (or press F5).
Access Special Settings: In the pop-up window, click the Special... button at the bottom left.
Select Blanks: Choose the Blanks radio button and click OK. Excel will now have only the empty cells within your selection highlighted.
Enter the Value: Do not click anywhere else. Simply start typing the text or number you want to appear in the blanks (e.g., "N/A" or "0").
Apply to All: Instead of pressing Enter, press Ctrl + Enter. This keyboard shortcut tells Excel to fill every selected cell with the value you just typed.
