CAESAR DIVI FILIUS - DEOS - OFFICIAL VIDEO

"Caesar Divi Filus" is a track taken from DEOS 4th album "Augustus Omnipotens" released on December 5th, 2025 via Wormholedeath.

Caear Divi Filius (the son of the divine Caesar) describes how Octavian (the future Augustus, first emperor of Rome) reacted when he learned that his adoptive father Julius Caesar had been assassinated. This event triggered the Roman Civil War. Octavian developed a plan that would first allow him to punish Caesar's assassins, then eliminate his enemies and become Augustus, the first emperor of Rome, in accordance with Caesar's wishes.

Conceived several months ago, at the same time as the song Caesar Divi Filius was written, this music video is the culmination of a project that has been in the works since late 2024. Directed by David – Dax Studio, it immerses the world of DEOS in a historical fresco of rare intensity.
To bring this vision to life, DEOS once again enlisted the help of Lorica Romana (LEGIO X), one of France's largest Roman reenactment groups. The whole thing takes place in a legendary setting: the Arena of Nîmes, a city dedicated to Augustus himself.

Augustus Omnipotens is a concept album describing how Octavianus seized power to become Augustus, the first emperor of Rome. Musically, the dramatic aspect has been emphasised so that listeners can fully experience the incredible epic that transformed Octavianus into Augustus.
The rhythms are more direct, the breaks more incisive, and the melodies more baroque. The vocals have been worked on to be more varied and expressive. The guitars complement each other very well to create a powerful sound, which is amplified by a bass and drum section that is more progressive than on other albums.
We have further fused Death, Black and Thrash metal in all the instruments to create more extreme, powerful and lyrical riffs, so that the album as a whole is a kind of extreme opera. The lyrics are as carefully crafted and historically accurate as ever. They are still very immersive.
