In this Crown Chakra Yoga Flow, we will be working towards connecting with our higher self and building towards Sirsasana (Headstand). This vinyasa flow centers around the seventh chakra, Sahasrara, located at the top of the head and associated with the color purple. Setting an intention like "I am complete, I am at peace" will help you align with the energy of this class.
We’ll begin seated with gomukasana arms to open the shoulders, moving into cat and cow to warm up the spine, followed by rabbit pose to connect to the crown chakra. Flowing through high plank core work to warrior three, you’ll find balance in tree pose, then transition into high lunge twists and standing split, with an option for handstand practice. After a challenging toe stand balance sequence, we will work our way into headstand, finishing off with a full gomukasana to close the practice.
Feel free to use the wall for support during your headstand, and be mindful of your neck. Enjoy this practice, and let it guide you toward a state of peace and completion.
