Late June we normally start to see things pick up in deeper water but this year to date has been very slow. I headed out 5-6 miles on this trip for a drift about with feathers on 1 rod and general bottom gear on another, Bluey and Squid baits. Barely got a bite for 2 hours, never saw a Mackerel and when I did manage to hook up it was errr...a bit crap. So off to find a few Callig to salvage the day. However big shout out to the weather gods, stunning day.
