What Does "Classically Trained" Mean? // My thoughts about classical music education

What does it mean when someone says they've gotten classical training in music? I'm answering this from my experience as a classically trained musician. I'm also telling you what I think about classical music education.

My opinion is based on my past experience as both a student and teacher. This is roughly how music education works in Finland.
