New Fair, Arizona was a bustling rest stop along Route 66. That is, until a freeway bypassed it, leaving the town to rust. And that's how it stood, with a small population of those who never made it out before the darkness came.

All roads out of Nowhere, Arizona now banish into a dark abyss, and none who've entered it have returned. Worse yet, something stalks in the darkness, picking off the few survivors left one by one.
