A little bit about the party. I've seen that some people are using two Golems or swap Son to one of them, I guess it could be a good team too in case you have 2 Golems or even Gigantes. Also I've seen that some uses Killing Machine instead of Son, because Killing Machine is able to equip Blizzard Blade. But Killing Machine has recruit rate 1/256, for example Barbatos in Final Dungeon has the same. It's too rare and as I grind for 10+ hours in Final Dungeon I haven't recruit even one Barbatos, so I think this two are only good if you're lucky enough. Also, I don't think that grinding for 3 or 2 sets of Metal King Armor is relevant too, it only drops from Metal Dragons with also a chance 1/256.
Btw I'm playing on ps2 emulator with a 16:9 mod and hd texture pack if you wonder. The game looks really good that way, but it may sometimes cause some graphic problems (look at Estark mouth in the video, it has some small particles).
