Juyong Pass located about 60km from Beijing, belief to be the closest portion of Great Wall to Beijing. Juyongguan pass is one of the three famous passes along the Great Wall of China, together with Jiayuguan and Shanhaiguan. At Juyong Pass, the East side stairs is more gentler and more suitable for those who are weak in sports compare to West side stairs that are quite steep. Those who are not too fit can pick the eastern route. The best time to visit this section are April, May (Spring), September and October (Autumn). Better to bring some snacks and some bottles water is also necessary.
