Chief of Army Staff (CoAS) General Manoj Pande inaugurated the 13th All India Police Commando Competition today at NSG Campus in Manesar. The competition under the aegis of National Security Guard will run for 10 days from 21st to – 31st March 2023. While CoAS was the chief Guest Member of Parliament, Col Rajyavardhan Singh Rathore (Retd), also olympic medalist was the distinguished Guest of Honour for the Ceremony. NSG elite Black Cat Commandos at the outset of the event showcased various combat skills, intervention skills & counter terrorist operation skills for rural & urban asymmetric warfare important for national security. The prestigious National Level competition is designed to assess the Best commando Team amongst cAPFs & State police Forces based on their physical fitness, tactical skills, mental robustness, shooting prowess, leadership qualities and esprit-de-corps.

M.A. Ganapathy, Director General, National Security Guard on the occasion said, this time twenty four (24) teams are in the fray for this prestigious annual event conducted under the aegis of All India police sports control Board. This event holds importance for participating teams since it is being held post covid pandemic after a gap of three years, the last such event being held at pune in Dec 2019. During the ten days event, the teams display their expertise in multiple facets of Special Forces training, including precision shooting, endurance, special operations planning & execution and special survival skills, which aptly demonstrate the collective preparedness of the nation to face terrorists challenges. whilst Best commando Teams from cApF & State police Forces will be vying for honours amongst themselves.
