1951 Studebaker Champion - Orlando

For sale in our Orlando showroom is a 1951 Studebaker Champion. In 1947 Studebaker became the first manufacturer to put a fresh face on the automotive market, using the slogan “First by far with a post war car”. However it wasn’t till the 1950 model year when industrial designer Raymond Loewy and Virgil Exner gave the Studebaker line up its face lift that sales and popularity sky rocketed. While only around for 2 years this iconic design left a mark on the automotive world and to this day when Studebaker is mentioned the bullet or airplane nose Studebakers are usually the first in mind. Our particular example is an original Florida car that has won multiple awards and trophies for originality. Powered by the same 6cyl engine and 3 spd overdrive transmission that it came with in 1951 this champion is truly a fine example of the Studebaker line. Very rarely do you find Studebakers that have not undergone modification in some way or another over their lifetime. Even the interior in this Champion has been left original and correct earning it a lot of respect in the Studebaker community. Topped with correct black paint the bullet and grille stand out and are in superb shape. New intake and exhaust valves were done on the engine recently as well as rebuilding the carb, starter, generator, and radiator. Brakes and wheel cylinders were also recently replaced along with the u joints. This is a great rarity to find that has been highly maintained and will win many new trophies in the future.
