The #5 100hp homebuilt Crosskart has literally seen and been through everything. The track days in my opinion are the best experiences in this kart. And traveling at high velocities may require a little more braking... So here is the video showing how to find possible brake upgrades for whatever donor you are using. This may also help you decide what donor to look for as far as your front end knowing the options up front.
