Wandering Minstrel fea Lurrus. 4.5 c Hermit Druid. Budget cEdh

This is not your momma’s Wandering Minstrel deck.
Wandering Minstrel is a 5 color ID commander w only 2 cmc mana value. That means we get all 5 colors but we also get Lurrus in the Companion Zone. This commander makes building an effective land base on a budget trivial as we can play a high percent of ETB tapped lands w/out the usual tempo loss.
Hermit Druid is a 2 mana, one card win condition. It would be completely unfair accept the creature can’t activate w summoning sickness and is very squishy and prone to murder spells. Enter; the rest of the deck. We can haste enable and protect the Druid and we have a host of “Druids at home” (Divining Witch, Sacred Guide, and Cephalid Illusionist., oh, and, did I mention, we have Lurrus in the companion zone to recast our Druid and friends over and over if need be?
Because Wandering Minstrel lets us play zero basics, we win w a single Druid activation and we can run, arguably, the best combo in the game; Tainted Pact + Thassa’s Oracle! If we can’t stick Thoracle on the first shot, Lurrus can let us recast that every turn too. The deck is busted!
It’s not the fastest deck, but it’s plenty fast. The real power of this deck is its ridiculous resilience. Generally it’s putting its first win attempt up by turn 4 but then it just will not stop. If we attempt a win turn 4 it’s gonna go again turn 5. Then 6. And it just isn’t going to stop. Aside from that our color ID gives us access to all the best budget interaction to stop early wins and to help us push and push and push.
Give this deck a shot, it occupies a real Niche in the budget comp format.
It’s the little engine that could., the energizer bunny. It is .. 5 color but really 4 color Minstrel but not that Minstrel, Hermit Druid and other H Druid and the other one and the last one too.., THE DECK!
