Our fallback plan of keeping it low Key for the summer in Key West mooring field came to a screeching halt after I made some alarming discoveries that stemmed from changing out the sacrificial anodes.
We have advanced corrosion, rot, and delamination, that we have to prioritize and take care of before our next boat trip, so a boat yard was our only option, and we needed to get hauled out as soon as possible!
We planned to spend 3 weeks in 3D Boat Yard on Stock Island, where we will tackle some Major DIY boat repairs. It somehow turned into 3 months, and this video is part 1, out of live in boat jail. I mean the bit yard.
