Christian Waitress Exposes Christian Tippers

Welcome back everybody! I made this video last night because this is a topic that has been heavy on my mind lately. I am a server in a restaurant, and I have unfortunately experienced the stereotype of Christians being bad tippers. When I first started serving, I heard that this was a stereotype, but I always hoped it was false. Unfortunately, I have seen this be the case time and time again. As a Christian, this is horribly sad to see. This isn't the heart of God. I posted this on another social media site, and people were commenting that Christians are often some of their most rude customers, as well. This is heartbreaking. As Christians, what are we doing???? What picture of Christ are we leaving in peoples minds?! Do they think that when Jesus is in us, it makes us more rude and more greedy? Because if so, we are doing everything wrong.

Hopefully Christians can use this as motivation today, to be the most generous tippers out there. Bless people. Love on people. Look different than the rest of the world! Leave 50% tips, instead of the 15% we often get. If your check is $10, leave them a 10. Every now and then, surprise someone by leaving a 20 dollar bill, or a 50. I have heard from unbelievers that I worked with in the past that tables would ask them how they could pray for them, and they wanted to respond and say, "Umm...by making enough money to pay my bills *hint hint*." They talk about their frustration in being prayed for and then receiving a very small tip. It seemed hypocritical to them. I hate to hear these things and they bother me deeply, and I hope they bother you, too. But because I am a Christian, it gives me a perspective from both the server side and the Christian side, and I feel like I can use this information to tell believers out there that we need to break this stereotype. Christians should be known as the most kind, the most loving, and the most generous. Not the greedy, stingy, rude people. What picture of God are you leaving in people's minds?
