The new car price is 50.970€. The Polestar 2 is powered by two electric engines and delivers 408HP & 660Nm of torque. An electric car has many advantages but also disadvantages. The acceleration of the electric motor is much faster and direct compared to a petrol/diesel engine. This is because when the electric car accelerates, it uses 100% of its torque as soon as the throttle is pressed down. The disadvantage is the charging of the electric cars. If you don't have a charging station that supports high kW, you have to charge for many hours.

In our opinion, the 408 hp of the Polestar 2 are more than enough for the car, they are fun, sporty and comfortable at the same time.

The Polestar 2 has a 1-Speed automatic gearbox transmission. Let's take a look at the Polestar 2 battery consumption. According to factory specifications, the manufacturers promise that the combined battery consumption is 27,9kWh/100km. But the driving style plays a big role, because if you drive sporty you can never keep the prescribed manufacturer consumption. On the other hand, if you drive very economically, you can even get below the factory specification. Further information is that the battery capacity includes 78,0kWh.
With a full charged battery, the Polestar 2 reaches 390 kilometers. For an everyday car this is not enough. However, you have to consider that these numbers can only be achieved if you drive economically. The Polestar 2 is powered by an all- wheel-drive System.

2113Kg are very much for a Polestar 2. A heavy car makes a car consume more. The heavy weight is not noticeable in the acceleration, because the 408HP are very quick. According to the factory, the Polestar 2 accelerates from 0-100 in 4,6 seconds, which is very impressive for 408hp, considering that the car is very heavy at 2113kg. From our own experience we can confirm that the acceleration feels much faster. The Polestar 2 needs 13,5 seconds from 100-200 and 18,1 seconds from 0-200.

The top speed of the Polestar 2 is 205km/h which is not very impressive for a car with 408hp. During the top speed we noticed that the car is limited. A car with 408hp could go over 260km/h easily, but the car reaches top speed very quickly. Because of the heavy weight, the speed feels very solid. The wind noise at higher speeds are comfortable.

The Polestar 2 suspension amazing. The suspension can be changed in the different driving modes. In sport mode it is hard and stiffer and you have more feeling for the road and bumps, the car starts to bounce a little. In comfort mode, the suspension changes to soft, so you don't feel as much of the road. The handling in curves of the Polestar 2 is perfect, because you can drive even at high speeds in sharp curves without understeering or oversteering. However, the cornering position is also dependent on the weight. The steering is very accurate and direct, so you do not have to steer much. Even when braking down hard from high speeds, the car behaves quietly. The Polestar 2 sound is very silent.

The size of the Polestar 2 is 4,6m in length and includes a width of 1,8m, which overall represent a very large vehicle. This can be compared to a Tesla Model 3 Performance. In our opinion the Polestar 2 is one of the best looking modern EV´s which was ever built. What do you say? #polestar #volvo
