Haight Ashbury: The Beat of a Generation

In a brief four year period in the late 1960's, in a quaint San Francisco neighborhood,
a creative movement emerged that would forever challenge the perception of the American ideal. "The Beat of a Generation" is about the rise, fall and struggle for rebirth
of the Haight Ashbury neighborhood. Narrated by Peter Coyote and told through interviews with many of the artists and residents who witnessed the neighborhoods many struggles, the documentary focuses on how a counter culture movement and the music of a generation still resonate with the people who journey there today.
