Overhaul of Visa and Migration System | Major Changes | Australia Immigration 2023-24 

Australian government is up for a major overhaul of its migration system as they think the current system is 'broken' and not fulfilling the purpose. For this cause, they formed a reviewers committee to lead a comprehensive review of the system to ensure it better meets the existing challenges and sets a clear direction for the coming decades. The committee published its final report in the month of March this year, and the Australian government considered the review’s findings to develop outline for the Migration Strategy. In April 2023, their Minister of Home Affairs, Clare O'Neil MP shared the important points of the report while speaking at a worker summit about Australia’s inconvenient immigration.
