PERCEIVE TALKS
EPISODE 10
The Colour Knowledge Repository, a key output of the PERCEIVE project, is a powerful data management system that collects, organises, and openly shares colour-related resources in cultural heritage artworks.
As a collaborative research environment, the Repository brings together a diverse community of stakeholders, including colour experts, heritage and data scientists, museum curators, conservators, exhibition designers, and education and communication professionals, working across physical and digital cultural heritage domains.
Initially designed to support the PERCEIVE working groups sharing data and resources for heritage objects ranging from ancient polychrome sculptures and delicate painted surfaces to dyed textiles and historical films, our goal is to expand this community. We warmly welcome all researchers and museum professionals interested in colour-related themes in heritage collections to join and contribute to dedicated thematic communities.
Join this webinar for a comprehensive introduction to the Repository’s scope, structure, and content, detailing its technical architecture and infrastructure. We'll highlight key features, present practical use cases for various user profiles, and invite interested researchers and professionals to access and test the platform firsthand.

Sophia Sotiropoulou, Assistant Professor at the Hellenic Open University (HOU)
