He has starred in Antoine Fuqua’s Southpaw; Dan Gilroy’s Nightcrawler; David Ayer’s End of Watch; Dennis Villeneuve’s acclaimed films Prisoners and Enemy; Ang Lee’s Brokeback Mountain for which he won a BAFTA for Best Supporting Actor; Richard Kelly's cult hit Donnie Darko; Duncan Jones’ Source Code, David Fincher's Zodiac; Sam Mendes' Jarhead; John Madden's Proof; Miguel Arteta's The Good Girl; Brad Silberling's Moonlight Mile; Nicole Holofcener's Lovely and Amazing; and Joe Johnston's October Sky, among many others.
