To connect the Cloud Adapter Enterprise to your security cameras or recorder you’ll need to obtain its cloud ID. This is automatically generated by the adapter when it is first connected to power and internet.
There are 2 ways to get the cloud ID - either by going to the adapter’s IP address on a web browser, or by connecting a monitor.
Obtaining Cloud ID via IP address
Make sure the computer you are using is connected to the same network as the cloud adapter and type in the adapter’s IP address into a web browser. You’ll see the cloud ID straight away. You can then easily continue here to run the installation process to connect your security system to the adapter.
Obtaining Cloud ID via monitor
Connect a monitor to the adapter via HDMI and a keyboard.
You’ll be prompted twice for a default password which is cloud, all lowercase.
You’ll then be asked to change the password, make sure you record the new one in a password management tool.
Find the text file on the desktop, the cloud ID will be the file name. You can then use this cloud ID to connect your cameras to the adapter using the Videoloft mobile app or web browser.
Bespoke network settings
If you want to set bespoke network settings for the Cloud Adapter Enterprise you can do this when it is connected to a monitor.
Go to Activities, Applications, Settings and then Network Interfaces
Select the settings cog for the Network Interface Card you want to alter, and here you can set the ipv4 address, subnet mask, gateway address and DNS servers. Click Apply, then to make sure changes are enabled untoggle and re-toggle the NIC.
