Pillars of Space Power: Explore, Inspire, Discover

Watch the replay of the Explore, Inspire, Discover session at the 19th ESPI Autumn Conference at Vienna City Hall held on 28–29 October 2025.

In this session we heard from: Roberto Battiston, Incoming Chair of the European Space Sciences Committee (ESSC), former President of the Italian Space Agency (‪@AsiTVit‬) and Didier Schmitt, Head of Future Preparation, Directorate of Human and Robotic Exploration, ‪@EuropeanSpaceAgency‬. The session was moderated by Joshua Posaner, Managing Editor at ‪@Euractiv‬.

The event brought together over 300 participants from government, international institutions. Industry and academia. Under the aspirational theme “Europe as a Space Power,” the event explored how Europe can strengthen its position as a global space actor and trusted partner, at a time of growing geopolitical and geoeconomic change.
