Exiled Russian Journalist on Putin's Ambitions and the Mood in Moscow | Amanpour and Company

The re-orientation of the United States away from its traditional allies has a been long-feared consequence of President Trump's election. In the Kremlin, his victory is still being celebrated. This week, Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov called the second Trump administration -- and its tilt towards Moscow -- "a return to normalcy." As Trump talks of peace in Ukraine, the narrative in Russia has changed on a dime. Mikhail Zygar is a Russian journalist sentenced in absentia to eight and one-half years in prison for criticizing Russia’s war on Ukraine. Christiane spoke to Zygar about Putin's ambitions and the mood inside his home country.
