TOKINA ATX PRO 28-70MM F2.8 VS NIKON AI PRIMES

Are primes really better than zooms? Its an old question, with most
people leaning towards primes.
But it begs the question: What is "better"?
Lately i've been leaning a lot towards zooms, for the convenience
of having so many focal lenghts in one lens. A lens such as the Tokina,
mid range zoom with f2.8 constant aperture, is too convenient for a fast
work flow. Compared to my Nikon primes which are tested, and well
known for being sharp, good lenses, i would say it did pretty well!
Which is better? And what is better? Is it convenience? Or overall
performance above all? You be the judge. Let me know in the comments!
All lenses are Nikon mount adapted to EF. i used the Metabones Speedbooster XL0.64x for all the shots.
