I created this encaustic shellac burn piece several years ago, and rewatching it, I can see a lot of things I would do differently if I were creating this piece today.
We should always be learning, and I find it helpful to sometimes go back and see the ways I created older pieces. It helps me understand how far I've come, and is one of the big reasons I love making videos, even though it can be tough to put myself out there. Older artworks can be embarrassing, but don't ever be too embarrassed to put yourself out there. Creation is a process, a necessary one. We cannot become masters unless we were first beginners, then intermediaries, etc.
