We’re gonna compare a Shelton No. 5 to a Stanley Bailey No. 5. I’ve never seen a Shelton hand plane in person and there is very little information online, so I had to pick one up when I saw it on eBay. They’re rather unique in that they have a linear depth adjustment and a lateral adjustment on the top of the plain iron. Let’s see how the two of these planes compared to each other.
