John Marston goes to Mexico in Red Dead Redemption 2 (without the use of mods)

In today’s episode of wild west shenanigans, John Marston gets drunk in a cave with a man who wishes he was Satan. After passing out drunk, Marston wakes up to find himself outside the typical boundaries of the map. From there, he walks, encountering many a motionless animal, until he arrives upon a herd of feral horses north of New Austin. He tames one and rides it southwest, to the strange land where the San Luis river stops suddenly. He then rides around this hydrological impossibility and enters into Mexico. He finds Nuevo Paraíso eerily deserted. After investigating the Presidio, which lacks collision, he visits the only other structure in this empty place: a little dock. With his taste for this land satiated, Marston investigates its eastern edges, desperate to explore parts unknown. He just barely manages to climb into the area east of Nuevo Paraíso, but he is forced to leave his new horse behind. There, in this unnamed part of Mexico, Marston wanders aimlessly, before ultimately sliding into a cove just south of Flat Iron Lake. Be soon realizes that he is trapped. But then, just when things seem hopeless, John remembers that setting up camp will allow him to magically escape this place. He does so and finds himself teleported to Gaptooth Ridge, in New Austin. There, by the fire, he rests and reflects on his surreal journey into the unknown.
