This beautiful song is a cry of the joy of an overwhelmed lover who is escalated as her better half is returning after the exile.

She asks her maids to decorate the land with designs (Rangoli), color the soil as her lover will return today. She happily shares this news with others. She asks her friends to sing auspicious songs, to decorate the land and the sky as the ride of her better half will hault here. She asks someone to get kohl and mark her with it, to keep the evil eye away. Her lover's image makes her look better. She then shouts joyously to someone to fetch money and oust the evil eye.

Colors meet colors to make new colors and happiness has pitched its tent at her threshold. All the good omens are showing! The papeeha sings the koel chants.
Her courtyard is crowded with angels from heaven. Someone should sound the divine instrument as she will be united with her lover today!

Rajasthan Kabir Yatra is a 7 days-long annual travelling folk music festival spread across six rural and urban locations in and around Rajasthan. Organised by Lokayan, Bikaner and partnered with Rajasthan Police, this is a folk festival providing a space where folk musicians, artists, scholars, students and seekers can immerse themselves in the voices of Bhakti and Sufi saint-poets such as Kabir, Mira, Bulleh Shah, and many more, questioning and dissolving boundaries of caste, class, religion and identity.

The five editions, in 2012, 2016, 2017, 2018 & 2019 were widely chronicled and appreciated. It brought together 50 artists, over 400 Yatris every year from other parts of India, and thousands of local audiences.
